The 2025 BMW X5 has launched in India, offering updated styling, tech-rich features, and powerful petrol and diesel options priced between ₹1 crore – 1.15 crore (ex-showroom). Locally assembled in Chennai, the new X5 now comes standard with off-road modes, new design, and more luxury, raising the bar for premium SUVs in its segment.
Price, Variants, and Colours
Prices range from ₹1 crore to ₹1.15 crore (ex-showroom) across xDrive40i and xDrive30d variants, with the M Sport Pro package adding sportier elements.
Available in six colour options: Brooklyn Grey, Carbon Black, Tanzanite Blue, Mineral White, Skyscraper Grey, and Black Sapphire.
Design and Exterior Features
The facelift introduces matrix adaptive LED headlamps with blue accents and X-pattern LED tail-lamps for a distinctive night-time look.
Now standard with 21-inch alloy wheels and redesigned side air breathers for an improved, muscular stance.
Interior and Technology
Inside, the X5 boasts a curved display combining a 12.3-inch digital instrument panel and a 14.9-inch touchscreen infotainment system.
Features include electrically adjustable seats with lumbar support, four-zone climate control, a panoramic sunroof, and a premium 16-speaker Harman Kardon system (M Sport Pro).
The updated SUV also supports BMW’s latest iDrive system, Connected Drive services, and remote features via the MyBMW app.
Engines and Performance
Petrol (xDrive40i): 3.0L, 6-cylinder, 381 hp, 520 Nm, 0-100 km/h in 5.4 seconds.
Diesel (xDrive30d): 3.0L, 6-cylinder, 286 hp, 650 Nm, 0-100 km/h in 6.1 seconds.
Both feature a 48V mild-hybrid system capable of supplying an extra 12 hp and 200 Nm under acceleration.
8-speed Steptronic gearbox and xDrive AWD system are standard. The xOffroad package with four drive modes—Sand, Gravel, Rocks, Snow—now comes standard, adjusting ride height, throttle, and suspension for challenging terrain.
M Sport Pro Package
Adds gloss black grille, red brake calipers, sportier bumpers and exhaust, exclusive M interior trim, and distinct seat belts for an aggressive look.
High-Tech and Safety
Features keyless Digital Key Plus, remote parking and reversing, multi-airbags, stability control, and ISOFIX mounts for child seats.
